After Top Rank Promotions Pres. Bob Arum and Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer met and agreed, the Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Jr. match is slated on May 2, 2010, according to reports.
It was also reported that the Pacquiao-Mayweather Jr. bout will find its way to Pacman’s homeland, the Philippines.

Sources from Pacquiao’s camp, however, said that if a Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight will happen in 2010, it will not be scheduled until after the May 10, 2010 Philippine elections are over.

Manny has expressed his desire to seek public office by running as congressman in Sarangani province in next year’s poll.
